How Does Monitoring Two Pools Work?
Each EcO independently measures pH, oxidation-reduction potential (ORP), and water temperature. ORP indicates the water's oxidation and disinfection potential; it does not directly measure free chlorine concentration.
The monitors communicate through Bluetooth with the shared cOnnect gateway, which uses your 2.4 GHz home Wi-Fi network to transmit available readings to the iopool app.
Both monitors must be within Bluetooth range of the gateway. Walls, distance, pool covers, and other obstacles can affect connectivity. Remote updates depend on the connection and are not instantaneous.
Additional water parameters, including total alkalinity and stabilizer levels, should still be checked with test strips when needed.
